RERA Gurugram issued show cause Notice to Developers

The Real estate regulatory authority (RERA), Gurugram has issued show cause notice to promoters of the Mayfield Garden land township at sector 49-50. The authority has asked promoter to appear on April 17 and explain the status of development in the colony till the date.

The RERA notice is issued from the complaints of residents indicting the promoters of Mayfield Gardens of incomplete road projects, cleaning sewers and electricity connections to the residents. TL Satyaprakash while taking note of the complaints, who is former director general of the town and country planning, has discarded the completion certificate to the project of Feb 5, 2018.

“RERA will investigate the response of the both parties and resolve the issues according to the law. Currently, we have issued show cause notice to the promoters and asked them to provide their point of view on the same”, Haryana RERA member Gurugram said.

Mayfield Garden is the consortium of five developers and it is a big plotted township. It is totally spread over 327 acres across sector 49 and 50.

“After the rejection of completion certificate by DG-TCP the Mayfield Garden promoters has to be the part of RERA. TCP already suspended the license of Mayfield Garden in 2021 and it was later renewed on certain conditions. But, promoters failed again to provide the satisfactory infrastructure to buyers,” Said Satpal Thakran, the complainant.

The TCP Haryana granted license to the consortium of five companies – Sheetal International Pvt Ltd, Satsudha investments Pvt Ltd, New India City Developers Pvt Ltd, North Star Apartment Pvt Ltd and Ajay impex Pvt Ltd for development of Impex Garden.

“We were left with no option but we had to file a complaint with the RERA Gurugram because our grievances and issues were not taken care of. The promoters have failed to provide the promised infrastructure according to the approved layout plan. Instead of noticing our complaints or take any responsibility of their projects the builder abandoned the colony and refused to take responsibility of their actions. Such irresponsible acts of the developers have forced us to issue the complaint” said by DC Yadav another complainant.

Ajay Shokeen, Manager of the project said, “First we will provide facts to the RERA authority and we have applied for completion certificate and our other application is pending.”
