The Karnataka Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) made public over 50,000 documents of 1,331 real estate projects on Monday evening. In the history, first time any government regulated authority has taken an initiative to create transparency and provided all the key documents accessible to public. Now, public can visit the portal (https://rera.karnataka.gov.in) before investing in any project.
This portal is now a one stop solution to check and verify all of the mandatory documents which has been approved and important. The number of documents varies from 40 to 55 for each project depending upon the location. The official further stated “Most of the time, we have faced the situation where the plan has been approved by the town planning department of the BDA is different but the developer has not been truthful in the execution of plan.
Now, we and buyers can overcome this hurdle as scanned copy of all the original documents will be available on the portal”. The documents of the project such as Khata, building plan, joint development agreement between the land seller and builder, sales deed, amenities, No objection certificated from KSPCB, BWSSB will be available on the portal. The official adds, “We have verified every document for their authenticity before acceptance so that it will be easy for public to check if they are investing with a genuine developer”.
Earlier, the public need to file RTI to check these documents which was a time taking process but now, investors can easily keep a check on the documents within few simple clicks”. “We have verified each of these documents for their genuineness before accepting them and so public can be sure they are investing with a genuine developer,” he added. The official said, “In a usual government set-up, public need to file an RTI to get hold of each of these documents.”
Information of all the RERA Approved Projects of Bengaluru Urban-Rural, Mysuru, Belagavi,Vijaypura, Chikkaballapur, Dakshina Kananda are now online on the RERA website.
